Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduced just under 50 new Mega Evolutions across the RPG’s base game and the Mega Dimension DLC. Like Legends: Arceus before it, Z-A doesn’t include Abilities — the passive perks that help Pokémon in battle and open up strategic possibilities.
However, Pokémon Champions, the Switch/mobile battle simulator that’s supposed to be Pokémon’s new competitive platform moving forward, is out now and is bringing each of these superpowered transformations to the competitive scene in waves. Each is finally getting Abilities, and the second wave came during the new season following the mobile launch on June 17.
Let’s run down the ones we know so far, with additions courtesy of Serebii.
⚡ Quick Overview: Pokémon Champions is rolling out Abilities for all Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions in waves. This list covers the confirmed Abilities so far — some are returning classics, others are brand-new signature abilities. Several Mega Evolutions are still unaccounted for and will likely appear in future updates.
